How to publish a website made with Claude

Claude built your page as an artifact or a file. This is how to get it online on your own domain, step by step.

First: what did Claude give you?

Claude can produce a website in three shapes. Getting it online depends on which one you have:

An HTML artifact (you see the page in a panel next to the chat). You can download it or copy its code. This is the easy case.
A React artifact (the code starts with import and has export default). It doesn't run as a plain file; ask Claude to convert it to plain HTML first.
Code in the chat, or files from Claude Code on your computer. Collect them in one folder.

Step 1: get one index.html (or one ZIP)

Paste our prompt into the same conversation. It asks Claude to rewrite the site as plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a single index.html, with images embedded, so nothing gets lost. Save the result as index.html and open it in your browser to check it.

If you have several pages or big images, keep them as separate files in one folder and make a ZIP of the folder.

Step 2: check for these Claude habits

CDN scripts: artifacts often load Tailwind or libraries from a CDN. That works online, but make sure the links start with https://.
Placeholder images: these come from services that may disappear. Replace them with your own photos.
Forms that only show a thank-you message: nothing gets sent until the form is connected to email.
Invented content: Claude makes up testimonials, phone numbers and addresses to fill space. Replace or remove every one before going live.

Step 3: hosting, domain, SSL, email
